Oli was thrilled to be invited to the official launch of Sion Stables. The team, photographed here with Sion Stables project manager, Francis Hood (second from left), arrived to the launch to find the sun shining and a great turn out of guests. Special guests Minister Mark H Durkan and Mr Paul Mullan of the Heritage Lottery Fund were in attendance to congratulate Sion Stables and cut the ribbon.
Built in1884, the stable block would have housed hunters and trap horses, but sadly once the Herdmans left the stables fell into disrepair. The building was brought under the ownership of the Northern IrelandEnvironment Agency in July 2008 and has undergone painstaking resoration to bring it back to it's former glory. It is now home to a restaurant, heritage exhibition, gift shop and education centre and has proved to be ahub for the localcommunity.
Oli came on board to help Sion Stables develop it's identity as a visitor destination and brought creativity and innovation through content collation, creation and technology development. These aspects sit seamlessly alongside traditional print media to appeal to all visitors to the Stables. Find out more about Oli's involvement in our Case Studies.
