Seamus Heaney Legacy Project
By Kate Cody on 25th September 2015
Oli are thrilled to be working with Mid Ulster District Council on a Seamus Heaney legacy project. Following hot on the heels of the ongoing construction of the Seamus Heaney Visitor Centre, Oli has been asked to conduct a feasibility study relating to the development of the landscape linked to Seamus Heaney.
Heaney grew up between Castledawson and Bellaghy, near Magherafelt and the people in this area are extremely proud of what he achieved through his poetry. ‘Full of fun’ and ‘a man of great character’ were only some of the wonderful things we have heard about Heaney along the way. The overall Heaney project has a great groundswell of support from the local community, and Oli are looking forward to seeing it progress to international acclaim, watch this space!
